Last night I got killed by a rx7 I'm not sure what year but the newest body.
The rx7 looked nice with a nice big intercooler, big exhaust and bad azz rims.
I jumped on him but by the time I shifted to 3rd he put 2 cars on me.

??? why would the rotary not be running in 50,000 miles, my buddy has a FC and he has put over 50,000 alone on it. I dont think that makes much since because any car that is well maintainded will last. so I would say both will still be running in 50K miles INMO lol..

not if he runs it low on gas one time and takes a corner in boost....or runs it hot once or twice, or detonates it.... rotaries are very fragile creatures compared to a piston engine. Turbo rotories just don't tend to last that long.

Yep I agree, rotary motors seem to not like to last that long. The fd3s are pretty quick cars. I rode in one and I would think it would be a definite 13 second car stock.

They are very badass cars...but I hear the magic number on them is around 100k miles...after that its a ticking time bomb if you can even make it to 100k

My friend has a 93 RX-7 running 400whp, and that things still running strong, has 80k on it, so i guess i have to see how long thats gonna last, because ive heard the same thing about rotary engines not lasting too long

no torque=rotary

1Js dont have torque either, right?:3d_frown:

saying X car doesnt have torque is overrated. its not like an RX7 is a big land yacht that needs alot of low end torque to get it moving...

and just for comparison. i drove an FD once. its powerband was far superior to any other car ive ever test driven. the boost response makes my 1J look like a T88, and thats saying something. then when the 2nd turbo kicks in, its very addicting... it pulls from low RPM to redline. numbers and a dyno sheet mean very little to me compared to real life experience
