I found some JDM bubble markers in my pile of parts!

Well, the idea is something similar....I'm going to paint the body mouldings body color when the car goes in to get fixed, and at the same time I wanted to use clear marker lenses to candy/smoke 'em body color, so that they're pretty much blended in the day time, but use the colored bulbs (red in the rear markers, lenses come with 'em, and yellows up front) to shine the color they're supposed to be at night. I think it'd be a lot easier to blend and pull off than using colored lenses to start with.

I love my bubbles, nice find. They are still available new, by the way.

thats a clean 91-92. if thats a hardtop with a sunroof, you have the Ultimate ride! especially if its got the shadow gray interior! omfg, bestest usdm MK3 ftw!!!!!

as far as candy coating the clear lenses, thats basically what i was picturing in my mind. thats totally what i would do if i were going to keep it none-stock. i like my gray trim, so i figured id mix gray paint with some clear just to color it. also, LED bulbs would be the heat for getting the color back.

'91 Targa, shadow grey with cloth seats, 5 week old 5spd swap.

I've seen some tinted side markers.... but I like the contrast the side lights added to my body colored trim.

lol... yeah, i agree. if your car is bad-ass enough to be offered w/ something as exotic as a retractable top or removable roof, you Should get it... Go big or go home, as we say!

the sunroof is just a nice compromise between a stiff hardtop and a floppy open roof.
