Im currently taking over my dads company and things have just got better. The company has been active for almost 11 years now, and my dad is about to retire in a couple years. The owner of a company the we contract work to is retiring and is going to sell his company. He has an office with 2 planes in Calgary, AB and an office in Tucson, AZ. He offered us his business at a price we cant really refuse. The best part of it is that he flys photo for our competition as well. It seems that we are going to purchase his business because it will affect us and the industry if he closes it entirely. If we buy it it will put us at the top of the industry in Canada by being able to provide all the services through one name, and not having to contract any work out. It will also allow us to have an office in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, 2 in Calgary, and Tucson, AZ.

If there is anyone in Tucson, AZ I look forward to meeting you. I might move there to run the company, as it has a large client potential. I feel as if I won the lottery on this, but this is only the beginning of my career. Who knows what else the future will bring.

Sorry I didn't mention it. We specialize in aerial surveying, remote sensing, and photogrammetery. Im also almost done my Civil Tech certificate and I'll be branching off land surveying into the company aswell. In other words, we'll specialize in aerial and land surveying, possibly more in house GIS aswell. Here is the web site. www.atlisgeo.com we have some very interesting equipment too

Wait until you can afford to buy a couple blackhawks to do your aerial survielance. Then you'll really feel like you've won the lottery! Or atleast spent it.
