Where you live man? If you're close to NJ, you can come hang out when I get back from the desert. Help me finish my 1jz swap. Might even be doing an Aristo 2jz into a GS300.

As for the drugs and drinking, not good. Go take a jog like Forrest Gump it helps. I've been running 3 miles a day to get rid of stress of working 72 hours a week with 1 day off.

Calling someone ignorant, but you don't know how to spell it yourself. Wash off your mascara and realize everyone has problems. They just don't choose to join the black parade by posting them on an internet car forum.

Poor spelling doesn't make someone ignorant. Get off his case, he was asking for ways to try to relieve the some unwanted stress. Help/support him or GTFO.

I also drive, even though i have an n/a and its about to go on me.

A bunch of the folks posting here have it right, essentially, but it's different for every person.

What you need to find is something that you can enjoy and concentrate on - personally, I ride a mountain bike, and I'll stop in the middle of the woods, look around for a few minutes, and remind myself that riding is awesome. Then later in the week I just remember that small spot when I need some calm.

Some folks like meditation, weights, running, volunteer work... A buddy of mine signed up for Big Brother, and once a week he spends a day with this kid who thinks enough money for ice cream weekly makes you rich beyond imagining. It sure adds some perspective to his life!

I did something similar once, entirely by accident. A girl I knew decided to take up stripping when she turned 19... and she bought into the whole deal, coke abuse, bad company, etc. She's been a beaten wife, overdosed, jailed, had 4 kids, lost them all to the state, and had her stepson shot and killed by his best friend over a girl. She still calls to talk about every other month, and goes over all the terrible things happening in her life. I sure feel better about my problems after those calls.

That is so true... when things are put in perspective. No matter how bad it is, just know that someone's got it worse.

I went thru a VER horrible divorce fr the last wife... On of my friends use to tease me and say... "Damn, I've been worrying and frustrated with all my drama, but after watching you and all this crazy shit, I realize I ain't got it so bad after all. However, your life SUX and you are all Fed up!"

But yeah, sounds like you're young and going thru growing pains. Just gotta step back and drop all the negativity and focus on other things.

Drugs are just wrong for ya, but the truth is, it's just a distraction. This is what everyone else is telling you. Find something to do that you enjoy, to distract yourself and get your mind in a place where there's no drama (or it's used positively).

And forget about hurting yourself and realize that other people find strength in watching you. During that divorce-time, I was still going to school on nights and weekends. At graduation, the Valedictorian spoke about how many times she wanted to quit. She mentioned that the only thing that kept her goin' was watching me show up for each and every class, knowing the hell I was going thru. She spoke more about it, but this is the part that made my eyes tear up.

Her exact words were, "If he could overcome the overwhelming obstacles God put in his way, to continue this already challenging program, what excuse do I have?

Good luck!

Drinking and Drugs = not the answer!

Because after you come down or sober up you'll be in the same spot you started in.

I usually do something relaxing like play video games on easy mode so I don't get even more pissed. Or play golf, hell even go to the driving range and whack the shit out of a bucket of balls.

You're a SSgt in the USAF - aren't you used to hearing that by now? It works when someone is capable of getting through it, but they don't know it, and they need to figure out they have that potential in themself.

I know I'm use to hearing it. But he isn't a SSgt in the AF. So, its a little different for him.
