I disagree....id feel the same way if my sisters did that shit. Heres my take on it.
1) you have a shitty b/f you cant get over (im sure hes told her that before since hes a good brother, but she doesnt listen)
2) you went out to party last night (not my fault you stayed out late)
3) you get called into work early. (boo hoo)
4) Uh oh now you have to be responsible. (welcome to the real world)
5) Fuck number 4 ill just throw a fit and have people do what i want (go ahead but no way in hell im helping you during your temper tantrum.)

i just got switched from nights to days. i worked 7pm-5am. it's definatly weird how when you get no sleep and you work nights, it seems impossible to make it through the night. on days, it's easy as hell.

i work in a liquor warehouse. on the night crew, i'd be throwing 50-60lb cases all night. (and i only weigh 130, so they're almost half my weight!) but if i didn't sleep enough, i'd be doggin' it all night long. i'd be the hold up, when normally i was one of the quickest workers there. most of it is mental strength.

on days, all i do is inventory now. i guess that's what you get when you bust your ass for over a year straight. needless to say, the night crew now hates me for my promotion. i guess they should have worked harder. ;)

as for your mom waking you- that sucks ass. i'd be pissed too. however, i'm a very family oriented person. if anyone in my family needs me, you can bet i'll be there in a heartbeat. there were days when i got 1 hour of sleep, and worked 15+ hours/ day. i was delerious with lack of sleep. 75-80hr weeks = lots and lots of money, but kindof ruins your weekend.

as for the sister- sit down and talk with her. ask her if there's anything you can do. even if she says no, at least she has the option. options are always good. and it'll make her feel more loved by her family, and more likely to let go of her ex. trust me, you'll be tired, but in the long run, it's the right thing to do.

that realy sucks. over the summer i worked construction with my dad. we were working constant 50-60 hour weeks. finaly i'm told that i get a saturday off, so i decide to go party. i get home around 4am, get to sleep around four thirty, thinking i'll get to sleep in. an hour and a half later my dad walks in, turns my light on and tells me to get redy for work. so i'm hung over and running on no sleep, pooring concrete. we ended up working 11 hours that day. needles to say i was pissed.

Let's see, just turned 40, and I've been running on 4 to 5 hours of sleep for about the past 20 or so years. Actually more.

I've actually found that if I try and sleep more than about 5 hours, I wake up more tired than if I only get 4 hours. Strange, but true.

I've worked days, nights, swing and graveyard shifts. I hated graveyard, but swing was dang cool. Your "shift starts about 6pm, and ends at 9am. I've also worked 5pm to 1am, and that was fine too. Graveyard was 1am to 10am, and about 8am every day, I'd be fighting the sleep so bad it was insane.

ON your family situation, I don't know your Mom or sister, but I can tell you that women will constantly be a source of consternation and amazement in your life. They will dazzle you, and then damn you in the same moment at times. Wait untill your dealing with a pregnant woman and the Hormones both during and AFTER the child. (Post partum blues is nasty!)

Do what i do with my younger sibling and kick their ass! They'll think twice about coming to you for stupid stuff they are afraid to deal with.

As for your mom, bake her a cake and give her a hug, you'll turn into the model child and she'll think twice about disturbing the "good sons" sleep, and slap the retarded one.

found this on MColas joke thread thought it might cheer yah up

A man was walking along a California beach and stumbled across an old lamp. He picked it up and rubbed it and out popped a genie!

The genie said, "OK. You released me from the lamp, blah, blah blah. This is the fourth time this month and I'm getting a little sick of these wishes. So you can forget about getting three wishes. You only get one wish.

The man sat down on the beach and thought about it for awhile. Then he said, "I've always wanted to go to Hawaii; but I'm scared to fly and I get very seasick. Could you build me a bridge to Hawaii so that I can drive over there to visit?"

The genie laughed and said, "That's impossible! Think of the logistics of that! How would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? Think of how much concrete... how much steel...! No. Think of another wish."

The man tried to think of another wish. Finally, he said, "I've been married and divorced several times. My wives always said that I don't care and that I'm insensitive. So I wish that I could understand women... know how they feel inside and what they're thinking when they give me the silent treatment...know why they're crying...know what they really want when they say, 'Nothing'...know how to make them truly happy...."

The genie said, "You want that bridge two lanes or four?"
