You could always just disconnect the seat, then you won't have to worry about adjusting it because you won't be able too :)

Not to mention, I think all the options are just getting in your head and causing the problem.

Just a guess: I think the reason you can't find what your comfortable position is becuase the car was designed by a japanese guy that is short in stature. The average guy in Japan is probaly around 5'8 or 9" that was optimun for them. Just a guess.

I can totally relate! I am 6'2" and experience the same issues. Sometimes I swear that the seat cushion settles while I am driving and I have to raise it up. The lumbar is great except it feels just a little too low. The steering wheel blocking the gauges is also a frustration that I hope to remedy by replacing the wheel with an aftermarket part. I just attribute it to the charm of owning a Supra.

I know the feeling, stock seat hurt because I always had to slide down to avoid hitting my head. got a recaro spg and it doesn't support my lower back enough and I always have back pains so with this it just makes it worse. I already modded my seat bracket and sliders to get it to sit as low as possible without hitting the floor. being 6'1 195lbs is a bitch in a poopra at times.

I'm glad to see this. Being 6'3'' and 200lbs, I have a fair share of supra pains. Head a half an inch from top, steering wheel always blocking something, knees too close to dash if not on them, It's always something new. Keeps me entertained.

How about that stretch to reach the seat belt after it comes out of the loop on the seat? Pull a muscle every time, somewhere, reaching for it.

I'm sure I am out of shape. So poke away.

I read an interesting article about seating position and the short version is that many people who find the seating position in their cars uncomfortable are guilty of trying to tilt the seat-back back and the seat cushion up at the front. While it would seem that the lying back position would give support to your back the opposite has been found to be true. The recommendation was to level the lower seat cushion and then raise the back of the cushion slightly to give a slight slope forward to the seat bottom. The theory is that the higher you raise the front of the seat, the more your spine is forced into a straight (un-natural) position. As you drop the front of the seat, it allows your pelvis to tilt forward and your lower spine to curve into a more natural position. It sounded crazy, but since I was experiencing serious back pain after driving my C6, I thought I would give it a try.

It feels weird at first and you feel like you would slide off the seat. However after driving for a whole day, I was convinced. Before, a 20 minute drive to work would leave my back in spasm. After 6+ hours with the seat in the new position, I had no pain. I adjust every seat I encounter in this manner and find it continues to work. Works well in my GS460 which is my new DD. I notice when I get stuck with a cheap rental car with no ability to adjust the seat cushion angle that the pain quickly returns. I got the wife to try this because her 3 hour daily commute was causing her back pain. She tried it and she does not complain about having pain in her back anymore. YMMV :)

That's some good info, thank you! I'll try that. I did feel comfortable with a new position I just tried and I think the front of the seat was lower! :)

Haha...possibly, but I doubt it. Seat full back I can't drive safely, too far from the wheel and pedals. :) I haven't tried that with the seat bottom all the way up though, only completely slammed like a homie in a camaro :biglaugh:

I would say it does. :) More options with steering wheel that way since you don't have to make long legs comfortable....in most cases at least.
