I can get Arm Rest Refinished to look like Toyotas.

I don't have a photo of it, but I covered mine with the leather from a office chair I was replacing. (Used the seat cushion panel, with some trimming, it fits pretty well, and had a foam backing attached to the leather.)

The panel has an interesting tuck and roll diamond pattern, and that worked out OK on the arm rest too.

Feels 1,000,000 times better on my elbow, is/was comfortable on a 1500 mile trip to Vegas and back and it was FREE. (Best part of it all.)

If/When I do a full interior restoration/modification, the cover I did will go, and I'm going to see about using some memory foam over the existing molded foam. (Thin but just slightly more comfortable.)
Same with the seats. The side bolsters are getting broken down since they are 18 years old now almost, and 180K of use. I've seen other seats re-covered and with the use of some good high density and memory type padding, they can be made even better than new. (My maroon cloth seats have Zero Wear since they have always been covered from what I could tell. When I bought the car at 105,000 miles, they were perfect and had obviously been covered, and I put my sheepskin custom covers on them that I had on the 82. (Yes, the MK2 seats and the MK3 ones are almost exactly the same.)

Anyone re-covered the dash and other panels in the car? I'm thinking of using alcantera to cover the side panels/trim, and leather for the dash. (Or the alcantera if it works out right.)
