There are differences and it does matter putting in the 2J map with out anything else will cut back on some of your fuel, since it is then giving your ECU false info.

And in answer i am hitting boost cut at 1bar

1J mapsensor = 2.1bar
2J mapsensor = 2.3bar
both in absolute pressure of coarse

Putting a 2J sensor on a 1jz without fuel adjustment will indeed lean out the A/F's.
2J mapsensor in combination with 550's are a nice balance, like the lexus afm and 550's mod on a 7m.

it doesn't help that much.. it only scales the map 9% where you need ~25-30% for the 550s...

thanks for clearing up the Map bar thing, that sounds good, where di you find that out?


maybe the 2J Map with the 2J JDM 440's would be a nice combo. higher boost cut while maintaining fuel flow

fuel cut is only marginally higher with the 2j map (i think ~ 15.5 psi).. A simple afc will work and raise boost cut to ~ 17-18 psi..
