That is beautiful, I like the second pic with the supra in the background.
Be careful moving that engine stand, it looks like it could tip over if you so much as look at it funny.
Thanks AbsoluteSpeed! Yea the engine is getting a little heavy on the stand & shakes a little longer after moving it. lol

Seems like that intake sticks out way further than stock. I'll have to go look at mine, but it looks like it's going to be a tight squeeze.

I think it's absolutely gorgeous though.
Thanks suprahero. Yea I just measured between the two strut towers and looks to be close to 29.5 inches.

Nice build, i think any trip for a SUPRA is worth the wild. I drove from easthampton, ny to LA, California for my 1jz...and then drove it back......lol. one trip i will never forget. Good times. Good luck with the build!
Hey Trust_GTE, I have to agree any trip for a Supra is worth it. I'm sure were not the only crazy ones to do that. LOL. Yea good memories to laugh about. The first plane on the way was smooth but the second was a prop plane and it felt like a car wreck when it landed!

Looks like our cars are twins, albeit yours is in much better condition than mine. :biglaugh:
I'm definitely digging the build... That's one seriously nice 1JZ!

Thanks thebigbadbanana, This build will take awhile to finish. But yea your Supra looks to be getting a nice overhaul. Twins! Haha.. I'll have to keep an eye on your build and look forward to seeing how those coilovers turn out. Your Supra looks to be in great shape.

Im looking to get a new wiring harness from "Tweak'D Performance" so I will not need the 1J wiring harness or the stock twin turbos and stock ECU and other stuff I'll post later in the correct post. I'll get picks of that stuff later.

Has anyone ever replaced their stock crankshaft gear when building their 1J/2J? Just curious as I've seen a few people have issues with the stock one.

Also it looks like I might have to go with a new oil pump unless I can get the threads fixed from the machine shop jacking it up.Its where the timing belt tensioner threads into. May end up replacing this stock oil pump for Titan modified oil pump if its not repairable.

Hopefully it works.
I had a similar FFIM and it hit my brake booster

The intake sits low almost below the cam gears about the same height where the headers bolt up. Do you think it will be closer to the bottom side of the brake booster? Ill have to do a test fit in the engine bay when I find some motor mounts.

By the way, where did you mount your Pro-Efi flex fuel sensor. Here is the pic from earlier post.

This is how mine was; and still didn't have the ports for the injectors. Which means I'd have to make special runners or it would be spaced out much further

Plus with the oem studs it made it impossible to install/remove. So bolts would ended up being used

The one thing I notice on your intake is at the back of the intake it overlaps some from the very last runner by the brake booster. Here is another pic of mine at the last runner at the rear with not much overlap. I do see how it looks too wide and cause a problem. Are you able to measure from your block side intake port to the brake booster?

that manifold is gorgeous

Thanks miekedmr. It does look better than the stock one but nothing wrong with stock. All the old stuff still looks to be in good working condition. I had cleaned out the back hatch of the MKiii today found stock EMS and other misc. Heres a few random pics.

By the way incase anyone was wondering... The stock twin turbos weighed in at nearly 50 pounds! LOL... shaving weight is a good thing and yea had some spare time on my hands today. haha.

While I'm waiting to figure out a good time to get the Boost Logic oil pump and wiring harness I decided to start on the engine bay. Have to start cleaning up the engine bay for paint and figure out how to start the wire tuck. Have to search other threads to relocate fuse box and other misc. Then to the sub frame bushings. Looks like this is going to take some time. Found that there is one small support brace/bracket missing under the passenger fender as well.

The Holidays have been keeping me busy with family and found only a few hours to work on the Supra. I will be ordering the poly subframe bushings from Ronniek's group buy when there available. Pulled out more stuff off the firewall and removed a/c and other components. Also removed seats and old carpet and found what looked like a factory amp under passenger seat. I will not be keeping the front bucket seats because of weight. The driver power seat alone weighed in at 67 pounds!
