great info & pics! I am working on a deal for that set up now. He's having difficulty pulling the hard lines that go in behind the head light. Where do these lead to and will I be alright running flexible lines?Where does fan cooler attatch? should it come on the radiator?

yes, you need a fan cooler. OEM came with one, so I wouldn't run without it. You have plenty of options on top of what I listed.

If none of those sound appealing to you, use a Hayden A/T oil cooler (#401) that can be purchased at any parts store. Should run about 25 bucks.

those hardlines that go behind the headlight is the fan cooler for the fan. Not sure if that is where it is on a JZA70 though. I believe the OEM JZA70 fan cooler goes on the bottom somewhere behind the bumper

the cooler is simply a long hardline that goes into the path of moving air. the fluid moves from the fan motor, into the hardline, and back into the reservoir.

the fluid is cooled before it is returned into the reservoir. This is identical in operation to the OEM power steering setup. If you ever look in the front of your car, you will notice a long metal tube that loops back around. That is your power steering cooler.

running flexible lines won't work. the fan cooler attaches inbetween the return port of the fan motor and the smaller port of the reservoir.

there is a rubber hose that attaches the return port of the fan motor to the 1st port of the fan cooler (long hardline that loops in front of the car), then a rubber hose from the 2nd port of the fan cooler to the smaller port of the reservoir.

o.k., let me see if I understand you. If he can't pull those hard lines, I should be able to run a hp line to a hayden a/t cooler and I should be o.k.?
Why is everyone able to find parts that they say are available from drift motion, but on their site, I don't find these items?(pnp harness adapter, the braided waterpump line, etc.? Thanks again itr. You should change your name to 1JZ DOCTOR!

lol, thanks. if your friend can't pull off those hardlines, just run regular A/T cooler hose from the fan motor to the 1st port of the hayden cooler.

Then from the 2nd port of the hayden cooler, run the A/T cooler hose from there to the smaller port of the fan reservoir.

Make sure you use hose specifically designed to hold ATF. I have the Gates part number at my house for the hose, I'll post it here after work.

If you can't find the parts on the driftmotion site, just pm the guys on here.

were is the fan ecu other than passenger side? with what he bought would it not be inlcluded and the wiring harness should should just need to be connected should it not? I have the pressure lines going to the fan, just not the hardlines leading to the cooler.
in the pics with the braided lines is the black valve hyrdraulic motor control all he would need? and he as it so wouldnt he just need to hook up that wiring harness?

do you have a front clip? look where the wiring harness enters the inside of the car from the passenger side. you will see 5 connectors that go to the ecu, 3 connectors that go to the dash harness, and one lone 10 pin connector.

that 10 pin connector connects to a little jumper harness with all blue wires, which then connects to the fan ecu. it's a little black box that says COOLING FAN on it.
