I am pretty surprised it would not run with 550's installed. Of course, I am assuming they are 550s, and we don't know if they had other problems besides being larger.

3p, it Sounds logic for me: stock maf=same duty cycle. Big injectors = more fuel so really rich.
Fuel consuption was huge! You're right, we don't know if they had other problems...

kotu100, afm, tps, and wiring are ok.

It works for everyone else. Seems like the injectors them selves could be a more probable cause. Were the ever cleaned and flow tested?

Less air, more fuel, and open loop at idle or full charge. It's not strange that it smells very rich and missfires...

I don't know if they have been cleaned or tested, but they seem pretty new. BTW, I'm going with stock injectors now, as I not intend to pull the horses ;)

550s are only 25% more fuel, and idle is closed loop when warm, and the trim variable can pull 80% off the nominal injector duration so it can handle 550s without trouble. It seems more likely that one or more was leaking, as that will result in a fuel error that gets worse with lower rpm (additive error instead of multiplicative).

Thanks 3p, I understand your explanation.

So one was probably leaking you are right. These injectors aren't mine anymore, so we may not know yet. Injectors now belong to a friend who is forging and tuning is engine..

I have the project of making a piggy back to handle flexfuel smartly, using a wideband and an egt. Your Tccs thread is very educative, thank you, I think I will soon join it!

Finally, as I told earlier, my idle is now smooth, at about 600rpm (drive engaged in my A/T), or 900rpm (neutral or parking engaged), + 100rpm if A/C

@J.J. no I dont speak French but I do speak Blog and I believe what Rollus did is called threadjacking.

---------- Post added at 03:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:45 PM ----------

and my injectors were printed 560cc right on the side so I knew they were good ;)

I'm sorry but.. what is threadjacking?

Does it mean that instead of reply to this thread to explain that I have the same problem I should have started a new one? If so I'm really sorry.
