--> not a hijack <-- I have a new o ring and dust cover gasket for my cps but ive been dreading replacing it because timing isn't one of those things I really want to mess with. But those 2 links are extremely helpful and explained in such a way that It made me feel confident to give it a try. Thanks for posting.

There is another way too. Before you take it out, take a picture, then install it the same way. Of course you will have to use a timing light to make sure its at 10* after.

While your in there be sure and check how crispy your connector plug and wires are coming and going just to be sure everything is making a nice good solid connection and that the wires are not cracked.

It took me forever to troubleshoot a problem where my motor would just up and die at slow cruise speed and not restart until things cooled for a bit. Turns out my cps plugs had gotten crispy and were losing connection when vibration was just right.

It's a hot area and over time it's hard on the cps plug and wires. I'm betting alot of 7M's would run just that much smoother if this area were looked at and refreshed.
