Hi guys,

I blow up one piston head because a poor fuel delivery:cry: , I want to test the flow of all the injectors.

I have the TSRM, and it said to test the injector for 15 seconds, but my doubt for a 550cc injector, what will be a good flow in cu in per 15 seg???? :1zhelp:

My fuel Mod’:

Walbro fuel pump with 12V mod
FPR with vaccum set at 40 psi
Lex MAF
Reworked 550cc

By the way sorry for my grammar!:aigo:

Tanx and regards

The normal way to test injectors on a car is to do a pressure drop test. The downside is injector spray pattern can't be observed. Off the car do a volume versus time test as described above. Best is to send them out. If you think they're dirty try an the car cleaning first and do a pressure drop test afterwards. Only if that's unsuccessful should you pull them.

if you get an injector pulsating tool you could hook up a fuel pressure gauge, start the car for 5 seconds... turn it off... record pressure... pulse injector 1Millisecond... record pressure drop... start vehicle again... turn off...do next injector... etc. you should get equal pressure drops across the 6 cylinders within a few psi. The tool is basically a lil black box with a button and a dial that you dial in to how long or how many times you pulse it and it connects to the injector... its a simple device

Or you could just send them out for cleaning and testing.

i say send them out. if they are dirty, they are gonna clean them. then youll have a much better idea of whats going on with your fuel delivery.

But what if that isnt the problem? why waste the time and money to send them to be cleaned if the injector balance test i described above comes out just fine. He stated that one cylinder has a fuel delivery problem. First step is to verify the complaint. I understand that if it is a fuel delivery problem as a result of a bad or clogged injector, sending them for clean and flow will be good, but why not find out first on your own? just my .02
