How can I protect the side of my block where the manifold and oil lines normally go? It will be under the hood but NOT in a garage. I don't want to risk rusting or anything getting in. What should I do until I get my new manifold? This is my temp fix when I removed it.

My uncle alway put his motors that were going to sit for a while in a thick garbage bag and sprayed oil all over it.
But, since this is still in the car, I'd just use some duct tape to pug the holes, and maybe put a little oil in the ports to keep them moist.

Its not going to sit like this long, no more than a month or 2 max, but I don't want to take any chances since its a clean machined surface that doesn't normally get exposed.
