Stretch asked and no one answered, so I'll ask again. (let the flaming begin, 'cause I can take it) Why is his 1JZ upgrade not an upgrade? What is a turbo-A? I was under the illusion that just about everyone wanted a 1JZ. What made his original motor so special? Again, I apologize for the ignorance, but I'll never know if I dont ask.

A turbo A is special 7m like the Type R of the 7m supras it has little upgraded stuff here and there. I belive the cams and turbo and bigger TB a few other diffrences I just hope he didnt just throw that motor away Ive herd storys of people doing this and of JDM importers selling them not knowingly. the turbo A was just known for that 7M motor and he killed it

and the illusion that everyone wants a 1jz, is simply that, an illusion. i love the 7m, and i doubt i'll ever get a 1jz, unless one falls into my lap. that being said, this isn't a 7m vs 1jz thread, it's about how shamefull it is to take a relic such as a turbo A supra, and desicrate it by replacing it with a 1jz, or ANY motor for that matter.

Ya, that was me who said there's only probbaly about 30 left :biglaugh: .
Just so everyone knows, I did know what a turbo A supra was, my original post was a shot at all the JZ guys who say it's much better than the 7M, so I asked what the big deal was when he replaced his outdated turbo-A 7M. He probably sold it to some guy for $200 and that guy couldn't get it to work, so he has it sitting in his garage.
