How to fix Vacuum Pressure with only 1 source.

How would you best handle vacuum pressure when you only have one source coming from the manifold?

I think I'm getting bad readings on my gauges and the car's not running well because I have about 5 things that are pulling from that one feed including my MAP ECU. I know these things work best with an independent source but I only have 1.

I saw a 7 outlet vacuum distributor on eBay that might solve my entangled lines problem but not necessarily the pressure issue.

Any help is appreciated.

Use a vacuum block with its own 3/8" feed connection and 5 or so 1/8" nipples coming out of it.
If you have access to a mill, drill, and taps you can make your own Like I did, or buy one online somewhere.

Suprasport sells the beech vacuum manifold, would that be what he's looking for?

yes it would work, but again I am a fan of having a larger supply, and not having it it the same as the ports. From the pic. Jack has posted on SS, Beech's looks to be all the same size.

Thanks for pointing that out. Can you point out which parts vacuum would be associated with and same for pressure? Or if not can you say how I should have asked the question?

Thanks.

Vacuum is the absence of pressure (or negative pressure, pick one). It's similar to lightness and darkness: darkness is the absence of light.

It doesn't matter how you say it, vacuum pressure, vacuum level, just vacuum...whatever :icon_razz

Suprasport does sell it, and that would be a solution to your problem.

Is it easy to drill and add my own source / nipple to the intake? What item would I need if I were to drill and port it myself?
You could but I never have drilled and tapped a OEM intake manifold. Plus hand tapping NPT with out a mill I find to be pain in the ass. But to do it you will need to remove the intake first , then get the correct size drill bit(7/16", .4375"), with a 1/4 npt tap, and correct tap handle. Chose a location where you fit needs (sorry I dont have a OEM intake manifold). Drill the hole, tap the hole CORRECT, (not to deep, not to shallow) & install fitting. Clean shavings out of manifold and reinstall everything.

I've never even really looked at a 7M...why do you only have one vacuum port?

Taking that one line and going to any sort of distribution block will not solve your problem...it's the same thing as using a bunch of t's as you are currently doing.

Not really sure, I can only find one on the front. I know it's the same thing but I might get a little more pressure than the plastic T's.

Wish I knew how to do the drilling because that'll solve the problem but I don't really have access to a shop and definitely not capable of doing it myself.

this will not help you AT ALL...it will clean up your engine bay a bit and make you feel better about yourself...but if your car problems are related to this (sounds likely) they will still be there. Actually it could make it worse by creating extra volume in your hose setup over just t-ing (not sure what the inside of those blocks look like)

No one else is running everything from one vacuum port, which means your not finding your other ones. which also means that they could be open and exposed to the atmosphere. Which could be the cause to your car troubles

Well I'll take some pictures and post them and maybe you guys can let me know if I'm missing something somewhere. I'll try to get as many angles and shots as I can that will give a clear picture.
