Does anyone know of way to test the fuel pressure regulator without a fuel pressure gauge? I am having trouble finding one at my local auto stores with a banjo fitting. Is there a way to test it in or out of the car. Because I think that why my car wont start.

Pretty tough to test a "fuel pressure" regulator without using a "fuel pressure" gage ;)

If all you want to do is see if there's sufficient pressure in the rail to run the engine simply pop off the cover on the pulsation damper and look at the screw. For the future an easy way to gain access for pressure measurement is to drill and tap the top of the CSI bolt for 1/8 NPT...

I would start by taking off the vacuum hose to the regulator. If it has a torn diaphragm it will spew gas out the vacuum port. Also if you take a pair of needle nose pliers and squeeze the rubber part of the return hose then have a buddy turn over the car. If it starts then the regulator is bad.

Also check your circuit opening relay they commonly rust up and fail especially when the car has sat for a long time. It is behind the passenger kick panel and it says circuit open on it. If you find that it is bad PM me and I will sell you one. They are 110 bucks at toyota.
