C'mon man! That's pretty neg.

I don't know if you are kidding (I didn't see the :sarcasm:) but that kind of p.r. isn't helping Supras appreciate, in dollars or admiration.

I'm not trying to start shit or tell you how to think, but maybe if we raised our level of expectation and appreciation it might help Mkiii's level of respect (and $ value).

Sorry, but I fuckin' cringe everytime I hear owners so eager to jump into the "Mkiii's aren't worth shit" dialogue. :nono:

it's a 20 year old mid-range car. saying an mk3 is worth alot of money is like calling a 1988 camaro a hot ticket item and should only be handled with the utmost care.

i've got more money in machine work on the motor than my entire car cost. how's that for PR?

There's definitely a large gap between rare and sought-after. Sadly, I don't think any MK3's will be the later. Buying a MK3 with with intentions of it appreciating is pretty funny, though. Unless you grab one with extremely low miles and hardy ever drive it, it's probably going to take many years to appreciate any worthwhile amount.

I'm hoping to own it for a few years and then maybe get what I paid, $4500 for a mint stock black 91 with 120K on the clock from the original owner with every receipt of work ever done on the car...
unless someone wants to give me more right now...:naughty:

I agree. What you have to think about now is if it's going to be worthwhile to you personally right now. I can't imagine living without my supra right now because it is the source of the knowledge i now have of cars and i think for most of us it is prob. more sentimental. But i think the majority of us agree that no matter what you get once you sell it the supra bug will bite you hard and you'll want another one

i'm looking at a 91 turbo targa auto for my nephew.i just wanted to make sure it's worth getting.there was a thread that had some production number's for the year's,but i must not be putting in the correct key word.

keith, there is a 92 black on black automatic 90K miles with power Sunroof in my area. He waved me off the road to asked me if i wanted to buy it. I see the car every now and then in cranston/Prov. line.
