Just curious how rare true TRD ss brake lines are. How many people have them?

gonna be made by one of the major brands...

TRD USA makes almost nothing. TRD Japan on the other hand, especially TRD Japan of days gone by, when they actually made racing components, and not just decals and body parts.

I have the officially licensed TRD SS brake lines. Price wasn't bad either. I got mine back when they were blowing them out because the never sold very well.

What's the deal with that? It seems kinda deceptive. Also, everytime I go to the local dealership and inquire about TRD...they look at me like...what?

I guess it's nearly impossible to get any new TRD parts for our cars. I'm assuming everything they make is for new or newer cars only.

do they happen to look like the ones i pictured?

i have a feeling these were made back when the car came out and back then TRD DID make items...

so i think these are decently rare considering...and TRUE TRD.

jeff if i get you the part number could you do a quick database search for me?

It's a relatively new number, looks to have gone obsolete in 2001'ish. My guess is someone else made them for TRD, unless the package says made in Japan, then it's possible they're real Toyota product.

My packaging looked exactly like those. I'm guessing you found an old set. Was this covered in several inches of dust?

I think mine were marked at $99 when I bought them - and then had a nice 25% off on my account so I paid about $75.

These are NOT manuf by TRD - even back then they didn't make these. They are repackaged - and of course the regular price marked up.

Even though they are repackaged they are EXCELLENT SS Brake Lines. I've been running these since 1998 and love the pedal feel. Don't forget some nice synthetic Brake Fluid to go with these.

I've got some SS brake lines by GReddy. They have a blue covering over the line but if you pull it a little you can see the SS braided line under it. Not sure of any other lines except for those TRD ones I just now found out about.
