just had a question about a part out.
i ran into a parts supra. 7mgte with auto trans.
only problem is rod knock, and needs key for ignition.
body is in fair condition, interior same as well.
theres a few parts i can use from it, then i was going to part it out.
i was wandering, how much do you think i can get from it.
so i can see if its realy worth getting or not.
the parts i want are the targa top, front lip, and possibly the head.
note the targa top would be replaced with the current one on my vehicle.

thats a loaded question, one to which there is no real awnser to. basically assume that you wont sell anything off of it, and is the price he wants worth the parts you want, plus its weight as scrap.

also what year? color interior? etc etc.

IF you have what it takes to do a part out completely, you can count on about $1500 maybe. It takes a lot of time pulling parts, a good bit more on advertising (writing your ad, investigating prices, taking/uploading/editing pictures), time spent answering everyones responses quicker than they can fine someone else with it, and most of all shipping is a pain in the ass. Everyone wants to pay less than you post no matter what, and they want a tracking number sometimes within minutes of sending payment. It really is a lot of work that nobody appreciates. But, if you stay on top of it, you can make some money out of it. The 89+ parts will all sell pretty easy. The auto transmission will cut into your profits quite a bit.
