i should be doing shocks and springs tommorrow and im on a tight deadline. im movin to PA friday and need to get everything finished. i already ripped out all my rear trim and read the Dylans' suspension upgrade page a hundred times. How long do you think its gonna take me and a buddy to do it? How long did it take you to do it?

Depends on how many beers between wrench turns :drink1:

LOL

Seriously, I did it by myself in about 5 hours total.

I think it took me about that long doing it the first time by myself.
If you are just swapping stuff out you could have in done in a few hours. If you have to transfer the srings or shocks it will be a bit longer. Just don't rush it.

Not to bad. I did it in 10 hours total.. with many many breaks.. so I would say I did mine in like 6 hours becaue I ran in to a few problems.

just take a day.. relax and do it right.

I did the above, it only took me about 6 hours on some nasty original 87 suspension. I followed dylans suspension guide too.

Yup rears is just the bolt holding the shock on at the bottom, and the 3 on the top. Might be tricky to get out the first time, but on the other side you should get it out quick since you know how to take it off.

feels planted.:naughty:
its very nice.
haven't done any country road acura commercial driving to give it a real testeroo but its allot stiffer and more controlable now. and its lower

we were using a long threaded pipe and some 90° metal plates as a spring compressor...but that wasnt getting us anywhere. so i bought a compressor for 50 bucks at some store.

listen to this.
my dad kept nagging me on how i shouldnt be changing the front struts because he got them done by the mechanic a little while ago. i took out the front shocks.
blown.:3d_frown: and looks to be original. looks like the ball joints the mechanic "did" on the same day were probably not done either. i thought i heard the bad ball joint sound when i drove but i kept thinking no it cant be, it was just replaced...
well, at least i got a sweet suspension now.
well compared to before.

did you lower the car? if so, get an alignment ASAP, or kiss your tires goodbye.

also, it took me 7 hours and a sixpack of beer when i was 18 :)p) to complete it, including finding the floor jack, stands, tools, etc...

(note to self: next time, wear a shirt and do it in the shade!- sunburn sucks!)

I agree with shaeff. Make sure you get it aligned. And congrats, when I tried to do mine I didn't have the proper tools and such and wasn't able to complete it at all. I almost made my car undrivable, but fortunately my neighbor came over and helped me get the old springs/struts back in.
