I support the idea of bigger engines in bigger vehicles, sure, but in something like a Supra, we don't exactly have much room to work with... Plus, I'd much rather have a more responsive, fun to drive engine, than some big lug of a low-revver that makes more power. LS1 is a good mix of both, and lays down power easily. 1uz can be made to make the power too...

I did it all with $4000. Aristo 2j($1500), found some n/a oil pans($200), used flywheel +resurface ($150),usdm water pump($172), bic 88- brackets($200),1jzbellhousing($350) and the list goes on for seals/gaskets/hoses/tb cable/big preventive maintenace/intercooler/piping and a HEEP of new plastic connectors. I extended all the wiring myself and re-did from a-z the shielded wiring. Ihad ZazZN give me a hand with some wire splicing, other than that did it all myself. Been running it for 3 seasons with zero problems. Although when i swapped, my centerforce dual friction clutch was well in-spec after 3 years with a 7m, after only 1 season with the 2j , i grilled it at the last day before winter storage. So ..i guess a clutch would have to be included.

the cheapest i did was into an sc300 - 1800 for the engine shipped, 350 for the harness, and the rest into misc items for the swap (about 1600 on top of the engine after all said and done) on my personal swap i spent a good penny on the turbo setup :D
