The OEM bra is nice with the 2 headlight covers but it sucks that you have to remove the bra just to open the hood.

I had sold 2 sets before on ebaymotors and they went for

-$20+ shipping(with no headlight covers, some wear, and about 1 1/2 years ago)

-$37+ shipping(with the headlight covers, mint, and about 5 months ago)

but you can get them for a good price if you look around.

Car bras are the worst invention ever.

Not when your driving from state to state and the only thing more annoying are BUGS BUGS And MORE BUGS.

Some bugs hit your car so hard it literally ruins your paint..

And if you are like me going from texas to missouri in open farm highway roads,Those rocks go BAMMM.

I don't care what anyone says...a real, padded vinyl bra is going to protect the paint much more (especially from large rocks and bugs traveling at a high rate of speed) than that super thin plastic film. Not to mention, the bra has screens over the grilles to keep bugs from clogging up your radiator.

the OEM ones where made from real leather IIRC...

they didn't have that clear film until recently, and the clear film yellows and won't protect nearly as well...

To be a smart ass.... the screen that protects your radiator form bug cloggage, is a whole lot smaller in area, and a whole lot finer and will get clogged exponetially faster than a rad would. Strike 1 for "normal" bra's

"Super thin, paint removing , self vandallism bras" or what ever you want to call them. I in my VW days had a certain Jetta that i will never forget. It was black with a fresh paint job and the prior owner so graciously applied the clear bra. I went to remove it after seeing all the scratches chips gouges and general uglies it contained after about 1 yr of adheasion to my "new" car. directely following the removal of that bra came a complete repaint to repair the entire front area of my car. the bra took the paint with it.... OEM Volkswagen German Paint right down to the sealer. I doub't anyone's aftermkt paint job would hold up to removal of the clear bra. But hey that's only my opinion i'm sure someone has different ideas
