I was watching a fight and was curious just how much money these guys make for an average type fight. Im not talking the big name PPV fights but rather like showtime type of fights title or non.

Lets say a fighter has a showbox fight in 6 months, do they pay him like 10 grand and say you got that long to be ready to fight? Do they pay him after the fight?

The fighters seem to have a huge list of people who train and are in their corner. Do the corner people usually just get a one time/day pay or do they stay on like a full time retainer for that fighter?

It is entirely dependent on how popular the fighter is and how many seats he/she can fill in an area.

when you get right down to it a boxer is nothing more than a 1 man band. They go around arena to arena looking for gigs like a garage band would and they have to get their name above the other names in the arena the same way.

Some start for free but once a few fights are under their belt and people want to pay to see them the $$ starts to come in. It is totally dependent on the house where the fight is.

There is no salary, pay is based fight per fight. thats why PPV fighters get paid so much because they are pretty much like a music band playing in front of a huge audience.

The more popular a person is the more they make.
sooo like from 0$-$eleventy billion.

trainers and gyms are payed out of pocket by the fighter unless they decide to take the gamble of sponsoring them.

Like it was said before. Boxers get paid per fight and it depends on how famous they are and how big the fight is gonna be. The trainers get paid by the boxer to train them and from what I seen its pretty damn expensive. Something like 100-200 dollar sessions so just add that up when you train about 3-4 times a week lol. I actually wanted to be a boxer and that was my dream growing up. I always had a knack and was interested in fighting but as far as being succesful its a crapshoot. You really won't make any kind of good money until you hit the big time and we're talking about De La Hoya and Mayweather big time.
