I was wondering how much everyone spent on their current MK3?

After I redid my entire spread sheet I missed a bunch of things I purchased and it depressed the crap out of me.

Total Spent: $70,928.82 (still missing lots of unknown's)

Edit: Price is high because of One Blown Rebuild and buying things twice

I'm between $10,000-15,000 (CAD), but I still have more to do because my car needs a bunch of small things done. As well, I will only be around 400 whp when it's done and running.

Edit: mine is high because before I was into cars my dad and I got ripped off big time by a mechanic who "fixed the car" (it had been sitting for 6 years) only to have BHG and internal damage 1 week after we got it back. Cost a total of 4,500 and I have no idea what he did to the internals except replace a lot. (since then I have been completely and utterly self reliant.)

Car, HG job, Interior, Paint, Tint, 5 speed swap, New Engine Harness, Rear Calipers, APEXi intake, Turbo Elbow, DP, Exhaust all in the past 12 months, and the grand total is between $8,500 and $9,000.

If I could take care of a few irritating issues I think I could be happy with just another $1,000 to $1,500 in mods...

I've spent a little over 3k in the past 2 weeks. I dont keep track of how much money i spend on it because it would only make me depressed. Im about to spend another thousand in about 2 weeks. And then about 1700 a few weeks after that. See? Now im depressed.

Bought the car 2 years ago for 5000 CDN.

Including all paint/body work, performance parts and other repairs as necessary I'm sitting at around 7k CDN.

Grand Total of 12k...and counting.

I could have bought a year old Pontiac Sunfire for that and had a warranty...and an overwhelming urge to shoot myslef each moring as I got into it. LOL

Current Supra:
$980 for car
$450 upgraded CT-26
$650 IC and pipes and BOV
$350 AFPR/LEX/SAFC
$500 clutch
$500 turbo elbow/DP/3"Exhaust
$200 replacing interior parts
$~500 other gaskets, fluids, repairs

Rest of everything is leftover from old car, so $0. I guess this doesn't count piles of spare engine parts and whatnot either.

Total= ~$4000

Hmm I probably could have gotten a nice mk3 to start out with instead of a project for that price. I've driven this car less than 500 miles in the 1.5 years I've owned it.

Bought my 92 with lots of mods for $14k over 4 years ago. And I have spent about $7700 on it since then. So 14K +7.7k = $21,700.00
Still less than a new car payment..
