I have a 7mgte with brand-new ct26 and the engine will be completely rebuilt with metal head gasket and arp head bolts.also with front mount intercooler with hard pipes full 3in exhaust boost gauge and boost controller cold air intake. How much boost could I do safely I was thinking 12psi

IIRC anything over 12-14 lbs on a CT26, it just starts to "blow hot air". 12-14 lbs is about max on a CT26. if you want more....time to upgrade to 57 or 60 trim. Or completely new turbo.

you should be fine at 12 as long as you monitor your A/R's and fuel.....

12 is fine and probably as much as you would want to push it reliably.

Remember, the mhg requires profession machine work and a very smooth deck surface. Make sure your machinist can machine the block smooth enough.

If you have the proper mods, your boost will go up on its own. Mine is at 12 with no boost controller, but I hit fuel cut. Don't use boost controllers or anything like that and you'll be fine

The freer it can breathe, the better. I have an intake, 2.5 inch IC piping with upgraded spearco replica IC, 3 inch recirculated divorced down pipe, full 3 inch exhaust with a 3 inch test pipe instead of a cat. I hit boost nearly instantly and I love it. I'm still on an NA fuel pump however so I'm not getting all the fuel I can. Next mod is an MAFT pro so I can fine tune and stop running rich between shifts..

I rebuilt my ct-26, put bigger wheels in it and everything. I've run mine at 15 psi daily and my high boost is 22psi.

Stock CT on 13-14 PSI will net most people with bpu around 265-280whp.. I would start building your fuel system I think that's one of the most important things to do before turning up the boost and wanting more power.

Yes I need to but right now I'm putting in all the money to rebuild it so after I'm done I will probably just run 10 or 11psi to be safe

Mine made nice power (320rwhp, 360ft-lbs) at 15 psi, put it tapered off to around 9.5 psi at redline.

If you have the proper supporting mods and tuning capability, you can make good power with a CT.
