i just bought my first mk3 supra. its a rhd twin turbo r. for some reason, the shifter looks like it sits weird. how does your shifter sit? looking at it through the rear glass, mine is angled about 25 degrees towards the left or in my case the passenger side of the car when not in gear. being, rhd, i find it quite weird that the shifter is pointing away from the driver. is it normal for it to sit like that? 3rd feels like where 1 should be and 4th feels like where 2nd should be. i couldnt find any pictures or refence as to how its suppose to sit or if there is a diffence in part # between usdm and jdm

bushings are both new, it has the truck bushing put in already.
when i took it apart, the shifter rod looks liek its bent but has no signs of tampering.

that's weird. mine was all crooked when I did my 1jz/5spd swap... new bushings cured it.

However, I still didn't like the weird angle, so I cut mine and welded it back together.

i took the shifter out. the transmission sits fine and so does the engine. its the rod thats bent. but it doesnt appear to have been tampered with either. could some other toyota shifter be used?
