How do you take off the wiper arms?

I was wondering how to take em off because I wanted to paint them to make them look like new again. How would I take them off? I tried by removing the small bolt-screws, the screws came off but not the blades. I had no luck.

Take off the nut..then pop them off straight off.

The wiper arm should come off with the two little nuts that are at the bottom of the wiper arm.

Ok, I was faced with the same issue when I removed my wipers. Just take the nut off each issue. Whatever you need to remove each wiper. Advance auto has a tool to do it. If you can not say to them you know Eric or Emily, do not accept the tool.

extend the arm up like if you were cleaning your windows and it should pull straight off

They get squeezed onto the splined shafts by the nuts, you need to wiggle/pull them off.

Gentle prying with a screwdriver covered in cloth may help to pop them off as well.
