Just like the title asks. How do I paint the side moldings and interior? What kind of prep work is needed? Do I have to buff anything and what grits? Be very detailed please. Also can you paint the cloth somehow?

I painted my side mouldings..

All I did was buy some plastic prep, 600 grit sandpaper and exterior trim paint. Where I got it they had alot of colors, I went with metallic charcoal. Anyways, all you do is give the mouldings a light sanding with the 600 grit until there is no shine left.. then spray it down with plastic prep (only wipe one way when cleaning the prep off). Then just give them 3-4 coats of paint (light coats of course) and let them dry. :icon_bigg

Painting what in the interior? For most of it, I would suggest using a Vinyl dye. It won't chip.

Vinyl dye'd my Celica's blue interior Black (It's also a MKII Supra dash swap if you care :))

the dye can be bought at most auto parts store in different colors black red blue green gray whatever you want the trick to using it is to make sure the parts are CLEAN wash the with dish soap then whipe them down in household glass cleaner then prep-all some people like to use a light scotchbright beforehand but its up to you

The stuff I used was Duplicolor gloss black vinyl dye. I got it at Canadian Tire, but I guess you don't have that in the states. Autozone or whatever should carry it. I used 3 cans on that car. It's a spray bomb, you just spray it on.

Like was said, make sure the parts are CLEAN to allow the dye to soak in. If you can, clean it with something that will dry the surface out slightly, like an alcohol. This will make it more willing to soak up the dye. I just cleaned it with soap and water though. No Armor-all! It won't stick.

so do you use the same stuff to paint cloth?
I used it to dye the fabric on the doors, yes. It feels different though. Of course, all I did was spray a ton of dye at it. If you did several light coats, it might not have that weird feeling to it.

yeah, but only the parts that I did one heavy coat. If I put several light coats, it worked a lot better.

It would probably be easier in a Supra to just put some new fabric in there, as the panels come appart.
