how do you hook up a air/fuel ratio guage

Why does he need a WB to hook up a NB A/F gage? As for tuning WBs have only become affordable to the masses in the last 15 years or so. What do you think was used to tune before that? Or do you think we all drove Flintstone cars?

7M: You can tap the OX line anywhere between the sensor and the ECU. It's also at the diag connector:

I typically tap at the ECU. Be sure you use a gage with a high input impedance. Not all NB gages are created equal.

how come you would want to use a wire with high impedance?

Not the wire but the display itself. Some cheap ones have a low enough input impedance to load the sensor signal. I've seen it a few times. It's the same reason you need a high impedance voltmeter (more than 10 meg) to measure it. Fortunately 99% of cheap digital voltmeters these days make the cut. The same can't be said for all A/F displays.
