how do i position the cps

i just got my motor back from machine shop i got the motor all together but i need to know how to position the cam sensor i have stage 2 cams also i dont know if that makes a differance.thanks walt.

I have Shaeffs CPS allignment memorized by now.

agreed.. I just hated trying to find the right spot so everything would line up, you know the first time trying to get that gear to sit just right.

Its easier if the motor is not in the car. take off the plastic dust cover and make sure that the insides line up like they do in that write up. set base timing with the E1 and Te1 jumped.

Basically jump the terminal where you would check the check engine light (codes) I believe.

so if i have #1 cylinder at tdc & put it to where the two red lines are i should be good.regards walter.
