That moment when you say "what the hell am I doing?" yeah, that occurred. :biglaugh: I figured, hey if I use some rubber hose and flip the bottle upside down and squeeze it I'll be able to put it in my diff.

Well... as it turns out, that's a LOT easier said than done. :nono: I've managed to get MAYBE half a quart in, and make a huge mess in the process... I'm sure it'd help if I had a longer line, but the oil is oozing out of the side of the cap... and it's turned out to be a real PITA

This is something that should be stupid simple... any advice guys?

those autoparts pump really help to fill the dif and the trans cause you dont want that stinky fluid all over the floor.

Jack it up, get a beer bong and make sure that its above the diff(of course!) Helps to have two people but its possible with one, you'll probably just spill a bit.

I have a vacuum pump... I was thinking about trying to use that if I can get someone to hold the bottle beside the car w/ me pumping underneath... should work

sorry man I am a mechanic, and yes I did own the right tools over half a decade ago, until they were stolen, along with my supra... not a pleasant story, but yeah, like I said, stuggling with depression issues, I've mostly just drank a lot and smoked a lot of herb since then, although I gave up smoking to get back in the supra game (and cut back a huge deal on drinking)

and yes I went and bought the right tools for the job... mission accomplished.

I come from a land down under
I used to use the plastic bottle with the tube nozzle in the cap, I had some -6 hose that was a tight fit I then put that into the diff fill hole bought it out over a rear tire, I stabbed a small hole in the bottom with a scribe and turned the reg on the compressor down to 1>2psi and used the air duster nozzle into the tiny hole, leave a drip tray under the diff and when full cap it and go.

that would work^ I just ended up getting a hand pump... (with what I believe was -6 hose) pretty messy though. Good news though... I think that groaning/grinding/binding went away. I did remove my exhaust though (as it came w/ 3" running into 2.5" and I'll be getting a custom set-up made shortly)... so I'm not sure if my car is too loud to tell or what, but I'm pretty sure the issue is gone. I did a pretty good amount of driving tonight.

Bwahaha, glad I'm not the only one who thought to do that.

Speaking of which, Clint... I'm pretty sure I still owe you and the missus a turkey baster.
