The tickness of the pre 89 mounts is 2" including the top cup/ plate. so if you get it made 2" thick it should work, however the stock 87-88 mounts have the top and bottom mounting bolt are off set about 1/2" form each other, but scince the x-member area is slotted, a straight through bolt should work.

*Sigh*, the link I posted is a mod for using energy suspension's tranny mounts from an American V8, it's plain to see what it is about. You will not be able to use the solids that you have. The energy suspension mounts are polyurethane and can be had in red or black. They come with everything that's need to make them fit. All you need to do is buy some extra bolts/nuts like mentione, grind of the poly ridges on the bottoms of them, grind a recess in the bottom of each one for the bolt to fit flush, drill a holl in the torque plate that comes with them to make the offset needed for the pre '89 mounts, bolt them up loosely, make fine adjustments, done!

To be specific, what I'm showing you starts with this post: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showpost.php?p=553898&postcount=247and ends in post #259.

No matter what, you will not be able to use the ones you've got unless you drop your subframe and use one from a +89 supra. I would imagine this mod is easier to do and they should last longer. You could probably make them, or another version of theses work on the tranny mount too. To be specific, the part number on the back of the package that I've got is 3.1108R, the barcode is 7 03639 27661 6

Sorry about that, it puts me right where I need to be... I must be because I'm running 20 posts per page, that's about half way there for you ;). Heh, you said you looked through 10 pages of it earlier, you was almost there ;).
