I mean, yea i'm going all out ARP. Lol, I figured the stock main bolts were still good. So why replace them?

How did you know they were good? You check the stretch on them?

I like to replace those things, then again, Ian says I have OCD with all the questions I send him having my motor on still on the stand. :-/

Supposedly, they don't know of them.

Educate them, not everyone knows everything and they may thank you for it as the 7M is a fussy bitch about bearings.

My crank shop calls them the Japanese Clevite77's (the real 77's not reboxed mystery bearings)

Don't use old bearings.

Buy the kit from the machine shop.

Try and get them to give you NDC Bearings or buy them yourself.

Don't get Clevites either for the 7M since those are reboxes King Bearings and King Bearings on a 7M is not good.

Wrong. Clevite reboxes NDC bearings for all STD and -.25mm. NEVER a king bearing.

Ok but I was just making sure ACL was a good bearing company for the 7M, cause I read that clevetes are not so great in out blocks.

ACL would be ok for a moderate build, but for anything over 500 hp, I would use the Clevite/NDC

Ok so stick with the ndc's. Will do, as long as I can get them ordered.

Order any Clevite bearing in STD size or -.25mm and you will get NDC bearings. Once you get into the -.50, -.75, and -1.0mm you will start to fing ACL and Federal bearings in the Clevite box.

Ok will do ill have a set of ACL bearings ordered by a new machine shop, being that I now have to have machine work done on my motor for a second time. Cause the first time they decked the block with out any load on the block from the mains.

If they are real clevites, i think there might be a problem, but if they are re-boxed, NDC's you should be ok.

Well i ordered them from Aaron at drifmotion and talked to him and he didnt have anything bad to say about them. And i would hope he wouldnt sell anything that isnt good.

WOW!! my heart just almost stopped i ordered clevites from dm. i hope those are ok.

Did not a bunch of us just tell you that Clevite/ndc bearings are about the best you can buy? So why would you think they are not ok?

Tech section is not the place for "I Think". If they was real Clevites, I would buy every single one of them. Original USA Made Clevites was the best bearing ever made for the 7m period. Non-existent at this point, except in a few private collections. Cough Cough.
