There's two oem carbon fiber hoods that i know of. Neither any of them have any stylish vents on them. One is on carbonfibrefx.com and the other is a generic one on horsepowerfreaks.com. Both is at least 650 plus an extra 150 or more for shipping. Carbon fiber hoods look great but are NOT worth the money in my opinion. Cost way too much.

Its not all bout the look though, The stock hood is heavy, Whereas carbon fiber isnt :icon_bigg. not only is it less to lift up ( cuz god knows us 7m people are under the hood constantly) but it also saves some weight on that heavy front end.

The CFX carbonfibre hoods are EXTREMELY light... You can lift with one finger.

For me, the weight saving, is just as, if not more appealing than look.

I know it saves weight, thats obvious, but if you have the funds to spend 800dollars to have a weight reduction of...50-70lbs? (I think it is) then go for it. 800 dollars is an upgraded ct26 for me=) Maybe you can share some of that money. lol

After shipping the cheapest Stout you could get, which would have to be imported from japan, would be $1400. Rounded ofcourse. You would get the Type R hood for this price tho, not the Type S hood, which some of you may not know about. The R hood has many more vents, hence the r for racing since it cools better I guess..

If you take the supports out of the hood why not take the bracing out of the doors too. And then drill holes in the frame rails to make them lighter also. :icon_razz

Carbon fiber hood do nothing for me, unless you have a black car and a lot of money.

Gargoyle, that site is awesome. They have door panels and a lot of other stuff on there. I don't know the conversion rate from Canadian to American though. When I do get a blue carbon fiber hood it is going to be from Duane. Just thought I would tell you good find though.
