Watsup guys, im having a problem here, my damn hood wont pop up when i pull the lever, you have to have some one pry on it while i pull the lever. i know i read somewhere either it was here or sf about adjusting the hood latch, BUT i searched and cannot find it. also same problem with my gas door, i pull the lever nothing happens unless someone pry's it while i pull the lever. it was freezing cold last night and i was pissed sittin at the gas station by myself trying to jam somethin under the lever to keep it pulled up, and running around to pop the gas door open lol. any help would be appreciated.

thnx

f6r the gas door, you can pop the hatch and reach in the right side panel and push a button to manually release the door...

Hmmm. I just went and popped my hood. I left a bunch of crap (door panels and trim) on a towel on top, and the latch clicked but the hood didn't pop up. So I just went and used my fingers to pry it up anyway.

So your problem is that you need to adjust the slack in the line???

The cable is not adjustable. The lever is a fixed end. What is adjustable is the hood latch via its mount. Worst thing is that the nylon cable sleeve stay in the hood latch assembly is worn out and isn't ensuring a complete release. I do not believe your cable stretched.

yeah, my hood and gas door stick as well. usually you have to pull real hard on the relaease levers and they'll pop. it happens mopstly in the cold. i'd recommend checking the slack and lubricating everything well. i did that and seems to work better.

adjust the stoppers in the engine bay. There are 2 by the headlights, and 2 by the headlight motors. They look like a round rubber disk, with a phillips head in the middle.

As for the gas hatch, look at the shap of the tip, it should be rounded, filing off any burrs will help, but don't file off too much. Also, replacing the smapp metal spring that's attached to the gas door will usually fix the whole problem, burrs or not.
