all of the sudden my turbo dosent spool untel like 3500-4000 rpm.... it used to spool at 2500... and it was set at 15 psi... now it only hits 10.... what happened? theres allmost no shaft play.... oh and btw its the stock ct...

boost leak, or wastegate. check the wastegate first, as you don't have to crawl around to do it-

then check the pipe right off the bottom of the turbo. it's prone to cracking because it's so close to the exhaust, then the throttlebody coupler. it usually splits on the bottom, so take it off and look.

then check the rest of your piping.

first, just grab it and try to move the arm. check if it's stuck in the open position. next, make sure it's working properly.

My problem was a blocked cat. It can be either gradual (from rich mixture/ burning of fuel in cat) or sudden(as in broken cat element) causing the blockage. I could only get to 8psi by 4500rpm. Replaced the cat and Bam! Instant spooling again.

^ yep, well, the limit of it's efficiency. you're pretty much blowing hot air after that. it can be remedied by a larger IC, but it's still not the best thing to do.
