the muffler alone just makes it louder minimal gains to be had, but make shure its a straight through design . you need the whole exhaust for good results . (only flow as much as its smallest point will allow) good rule of thumb is 2.5 for n/a 3 for turbo

He's a MODERATOR, he MODERATES these sections. Calm down bro.

As for the purpose of this thread, a muffler won't do jack shit for you except change the loudness of the exhaust. You need a full cat back system to see any gains, preferably 2.5" and preferably mandrel bent for best flow

You have a lot to learn about SM...looks like it's going to be the hard way ;)

Suggest you think about it before you post again.

Horrible thread title, wrong section, insulting a mod who fixed one of your mistakes...

Great start there, rookie...

2.5 catback is what you want for an N/A. Don't waste your time and money simply replacing the muffler. Do the whole cat back. Even then, gains are minimal.

Hint for you:The MODS are the ones whose screen names are in bright orange, wouldn't suggest pissing them off if you like the forum.

I have a Pacesetter 2.5" Catback on mine, Only gain in power is from about 5500-6500rpm, not much either, It lost low end power for sure. It sounds good but I think a baffle already let go inside the muffler, it has a rattle at 2500rpm. :aigo:

Think im going back to a stock style exhaust eventually. :nono:

Not true,it's just hard to come by others.I believe his SN is AJ's88na has a rare HKS header on his. And,despite the stupid fuckin' slogan,(shit is good)the OBX is comparable to,maybe even nicer than the pacesetter.

Nope, I have the Pacesetter, I think if you get the ceramic coated one it would hold up a little longer. The O-2 location is a little too far down stream, and the collector I think could be larger. The Pacesetter also has to have the collector welded on, at least that's the way mine came. I think the OBX would be a better choice, they are a little more expensive.
