Guys,

I just purchased a used HKS SSQV kit and didn't receive the caps for the 3000 pipe and accordion tube. Does anyone know the best place to source these caps? I know they are just 20 mm rubber caps but I cant seem to find generic ones on line.

If anyone has a SSQV kit and didn't use the caps I would be interested in them. Otherwise I would like to know where I could find replacements.

Thanks,

Dave

i dont think they came with caps. go to autozone and pick up some caps and use worm clamps on them. i did that with my car and my brother's without problem. total cost maybe $2-$3

Just don't get the ones that come in the "kit" box caps, mine have started cracking and become brittle in less than 2 months. Ask for some quality rubber ones behind the counter.

It did not come with caps for the accordion tube. Only for the 3000 pipe. You could get it just about anywhere. But like I said in my Pm... Your covered ;)

haha, I know I was just wondering if anyone knew where you could pick them up. I am very happy with the BOV thanks again.

The packing list from HKS does say 2x the 20mm rubber caps.

either way I was just interested in knowing if people knew of a good place to pick them up from.

Thanks,

Dave

Rubber end covers for chair legs work rather well. And they are cheap. :)

Hahahaha did you just run around the house trying to find something that would work? That's rather funny :biglaugh:

Nope, one of the local hotrod guys told me when I was trying to find something at the automotive parts shop. I thought he had to be kidding, but I still drove straight to the local home depot to look, and sure enough, he was right.

alright guys thanks for the help. Until I get my HKS crossover pipe I will check with the local parts shop to find another cap for my accordian tube. eventually I plan on going with the HKS crossover pipe so I would only need one cap at that time anyway.
