Anyone know how long an HKS mushroom filter is? I just got a new stock accordion hose and my K&N filter is too long to fit in the corner with my 3" IC piping.

Oh really? I thought they were decent. Shucks. Any recommendations? Can't be more than 3-4" long, plenty of side to side clearance.
he had that setup before and I would not reccomed it it ran like shit and killed his afm. that is why you have my spare on there now. If you need the accordion hose for the isc, vent the hks to atmosphere. then cut off the angle on the nipple going to the it and plum the isc to that.

the car ran the same without the hks recirculated we did that to try to remedy the backfires between shifts.
Timing was off and there were a couple boost leaks, btw. After I took care of that the backfiring pretty much stopped. Think I pwned the rings though, not sure how =[

I read the thread Andrew linked me to, it was especially convincing since that Ubershit filter came off my car.
the issue you might have is the apex unit tilts the filter to one side...

I've Ran both the apexi and the hks. Both were fine, but i would just have went cheap afm adapter + ebay filter if i had to do it again for the sheer fact that they are just as good.
I just need a shorter filter, my K&N is ~5" long and I need something in the 3" range to fit in the area I've got for it
Yes, but I've read bad things about them. Besides that, I think I have the smallest one already.
I've seen several people, including one of the SM Subject experts, say that the oil in the filters kills AFMs, and I don't recall seeing anyone arguing against it.
