That sure looks like it, but when I last saw it it had different paint, and said HKS RACING and had a big #1 on the side of it. It's either that car or looks god damn close.

It looks as though the body has been channeled and I'm guessing it probably sits on a tube frame. But I don't know I'm only guessing.

If anyone knows anything about it, please chime in.

C'mon....I know what you're saying, it aint exactly a purists Supra...but let's be honest, that mofo is badasssss! :aigo:

Looks like more of a Funny Car than anything. I still dig it.

What I'd like to here about is more along the lines of "pro stock" set-ups, which is what the HKS (heavenly chorus plays in the background) Supra looks like to me.

Does anyone know what the driveline is (was) on the HKS car?

I'm pretty sure it was 7m (turbo for sure... nitrious?), but I'd like to know the trans and rear end combo.
If I had to guess, I'd say 2 speed power glide w/ trans brake and maybe 4 link coilover w/ ladder bars on a narrowed 12 bolt Chevy or 9" Ford or Detroit locker or 21 spline Pontiac or ???

Read my first thread where I say there's only one good picture that I've been able to find, (duh that's the one) before you start showing me how smart you are.

Next time you try flaming someone in a post, you should probably read the whole thread. In fact I had already posted that picture in post #4.

True, but that link does answer most your other questions. Tube chassis, powerglide, and although it doesn't specify the rear, id bet a good amount it was a 9".

This car was pretty much the inspiration for my build. Many of the things on that car can be found in mine....

Thanks slow66, I'll be checking out your build (wish I would have run across it earlier).

I was thinking of trying to get ahold of HKS and seeing what I could find out.

I have to figure out who at HKS would know. Chances are they probably have moved on to other projects and don't have any info available on it.

Also, it might very well be they are tight lipped about their projects, even old ones. Who knows what they R&D'd on that car and are using today.
