LOL as bad as that pic shows is FAR worse than I'd bother repairing on a Mk3 sorry ;)

A bigger concern would be the stooges that buy these cars with huge plans get 25% through and part them out once they realise they don't have the skills/smarts/money to actually finsh a car and drive it.

then buy another and repeat....

Soon there won't be any donor cars/shells to do cheap swap/repairs.

and the people that get a dent and send it to the scrap yard .i consider his crash a big dent.nothing more

I almost got a hit and run on me last year. They started to leave and then I ran over to them and stopped them. Good luck in your search for the culprit!!

i really hate to tear it apart. it was freaking perfect. i hate to just toss it but its not my fault. i dont want to restore a car i know will NEVER be as it was originally.im saving a perfectly fine low mileage supra from getting used as scrap metal. im not going through supras like they where a pair of shoes or something. i respect these cars.

i just realized its a targa. should i be worried about rigidity? the car has no trany, motor, rear suspension. it has the ugly stock spoiler which i would remove, 120k miles,87. it has 3 in dmv fees and hes asking 9. should i wait and find another? seems kinda steep.

i wouldn't bother. that is going to be A LOT of work. and even then its just not going to look right unless you get a new core support and i would replace that whole driver side frender support. if you pull that one out its going to be weak and really hard to get the lines right.

ive been there more than once. in this case i would find a new shell.

here is mine

then the replacement. :naughty:

that hit looks exactly like mine. poor sup'

yeah. mine was at 80mph. completely my fault. after the 5 360's across 101 through Santa Rosa during rush hour i was down to about 45mph before i hit the guard rail or else i would have been hurtin. its a miracle i didn't get hit. the real crazy thing is i made it home 300 miles after the crash with a bhg, a MASSIVE boost leak, a fucked up front end with one headlight pointing to the sky, and about 10 gallons of water.

good old supras never leave you stranded.

i just saw how you live in the bay. with all the choices of supras down there it should pretty easy to find one. i drove all the way to sac for the one on the trailer.

im getting optimistic about the car again. plan will be to take engine out of the WRECKED car and put in the painted shell till i get a turbo motor. then the na will go back into the stripped WRECKED one. it will be used as a track only autocross car for my dads high school automotive tech class. i hope to get kids interested in the autocross club we have here every weekend at the military base. ill save the car and keeps kids from street racing.:icon_bigg
