Tony made 830 a few weeks after Vegas, Bob Norwood made over 900whp on the 7M, and Seb from australia was making about 750@10800 RPM on a 7M on an uncorrected dyno which would be about 1000 on a SAE corrected dynojet.

Yeah, I beleive Bob Norwood dynoed at 934rwhp on his 7M powered MK3. Its fun to talk about making big horsepower. But in reality, anything over 450rwhp is hard to put to use at low speeds, especially in first and second gear.

Guys, the records for the Mk3 are way higher than that. IIRC, there were two tubeframe Mk3 chassis dragsters built in Japan during the car's heyday, one by HKS and one by a private owner, one with 1200+ whp and the other with 1400+ whp.

I don't think anyone here has any use for that kind of power, so I think their records are safe for the moment.
