Nope...

edit: Are you saying with all the diagnosing you've been doing that both fittings on your car are the same? That you were able to directly hook your gages up?

Both fittings on my car are in fact the same. My R12 mastercool manifold gauges came with 1/4" SAE ffl auto shut off hoses and they screw right on.:dunno: Hell I could install the red hose on the low pressure port if I wanted to. Maybe it's a year thing? Keep in mind the 86.5 seems to be a very unique system from the others. Lines, condenser, even evap is different from the 87.

It's a year thing. I believe only 86.5 has the same size for both. It was common on Toyotas before 87, after that they switched to the different sized fittings.

A trip to the hardware store and I'll answer my own question. The high side fitting on my 91 is 3/8-24. The low side is 7/16-20. My new Mastercool gauges has 112 and 134 hoses. The 112 hoses have only the 7/16-20 fittings.... looking for an adapter now that I know exactly what I need.

Thanks for all of the input. Sounds like it is perhaps year specific.....
