This is typical stock ECU gas consumption - 10ltr/100km when driving gently. If you go standalone you can get it down to nearly 8ltr/100km. I recently managed on 450km trip 8.7ltr/100km, average speed around 130km/h, very rarely boosting. This is with not mileage-friendly 272deg. cams. I was shocked that my consumption was so low. On the way back was driving much faster and it went to ~12.5ltr/100km

I find that if I fill my tank I get less milage out of it than if I just go to half full...

This is in city driving though.

My 82 truck got worse gas milage... 31" tires and 4.11 gears didn't help it though...

But it was a carb with so much crap hooked up to it it was nearly impossible to work on...
