Hi everyone....

I'm have a few problems....

First of all I occasionally get a very high (up to 2300 rpm) idle... and sometimes very low (like when I decelerate, even if the car is in neutral it wants to stall). When the car idles high, I heard this weird high pitched sucking sound. I'm thinking it's the ISC valve. We've cleaned it out and put it back on, so that didn't fix it. Should I try to get a new one? Any other idea what it could be?

Second of all, I'm getting fouled plugs every 1000 miles or so, even on iridium/platinum plugs. It's driving me crazy, since I can't afford to replace plugs every 1000 miles. The car runs worse and worse, missing, stumbling, having a very rough time starting, etc, until the car is basically inoperable and I have to replace the plugs again, then it fires up and drives fine until I have the same problem again.

Are these 2 problems related? Any idea what could be causing the weird idle and the rapid fouling of spark plugs???

I have a custom FFIM with a large throttle body with a flange for the stock ISC valve... I make about 450-500hp, running 550 injectors, using AEM EMS. I also have a wideband and the car drives right around 14-15 A/F ratio most of the time, only goes below 11 under high boost.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to add, when I change the plugs to a new fresh set, the low idle problem goes away... but not the high idle problem.

Got bored of the other thread?

Must have, or he didn't like the answers. So, here we go again on another wild goose chase of "what if" and "could be". Sorry, but this is getting old fast.

A couple of guys offered to take a look at your AEM cal file. Do that or take the car to a different tuner. Or, "give up" and sell the car like you alluded to in your last thread.
Until then, that's enough on this issue...no more threads on this until you have hard info.

Thread closed.
