okay heres the deal im running 17 PSI and all my turbo piping keeps blowing off or blowing up. the 3000 coupling blew apart and the other pipes have all blown off no matter how hard I tighten them after I get on it for a few minutes POOF! So I got fed up wento the supply house, got a 10 foot long pvc pipe and various elbows and made my system all hard piped right from the bottom rubber turbo hose downpipe. Okay I know what your all saying, your stupid it will never hold the boost... yea PVC pipe is rated up to 180 PSI!!!!! very easy to connect, light and cheap. AFTER EXTENSIVE TESTING WORKS AWESOME!! -- Eric

matches the radiator cap perfectly, was that you in that tail pipe noise maker thingo video?

BECAUSE FARK MAN THATS GHETTO!

love the venting BOV sitting right above the airflow meter the irony would blow Alanis Morissette away!

you will find mild steel mandrel bends are not that expensive! and are alot more heat resistant!

It's a traffic jam when you're already late
It's a no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's the fully sik sound of your blow off valve
And then stalling at the traffic lights
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...

17 lbs of boost on that set up? I'll say you'll frag the motor before 2005 is over.

John Lunsford did that a while back and got the same reaction from the sogi mailing list.

"That's ghetto..."

then

"...damn, your car is fast..."

Truth. I remember this as well. He says that PVC has other benefits as well, like the fact that it doesn't absord heat from the engine bay anywhere near as fast as anything metallic.

well its worth tryn for about 20 bucks and since i get my poweder and ceramic coating done for the price of the powder im going to try it..... thats what sucks about this forum no one wants to try new things its always it wont work its dumb, or that looks nasty in there. Lets see, a recent one is the revability issue everyone is like dont try it its a waste of money just use a 1jz. well unless u "waste money" i dont think u will ever really know if there are any better ways to do things. So other than GrimJack and a few others who actually seem to look beyond the set and known ways to do things, i think all you fuckers need to expand your horizons and try new things. so unless some of you have tried some of these things there is no use in giving your 2 cents.

LoL well thats my 2 Cents any way.....

i might be a fucker (and proud of it) but i know engine bay temps are not good for pvc, one decent mountan road and your heat sheild-less turbo is going to have a puddle of burning pvc on it.

dont bitch when your supra burns to the ground or leaves you stuck somewhere!

Your concern is well placed (I had similar thoughs when I first read it on the sogi list) but this dog was beaten to death years ago. John actually ran tempature tests and has pictures here if you care to ready a litle more about it:

lol im not driving on mountain roads and and my turbo has a heat sheild i would hope every one would use a heat shield. that is why heat shields exist to keep heat off other stuff. besides i would say if the pipes are wrapped with the heat wrap crap it would have no more a problem with heat than the stock plastic piece
