Rev limits for me.

I went 8K on the 2J block.

8750rpms on the 1J block.

Full boost is still around 5K rpms with spool valve, and I'm never below 25-26PSI. To be like my hero Jay, my Stinger also fuel cuts at 29PSI.

You guys are nuts, but that is awesome. Racer, did you get your valves from Ferrea custom made? I remember searching while the porting was being done on my head, and couldn't find anything in the way of oversize 1j valves. Hence, mine still has stock valves. Not that it's a problem, I don't plan on revving past 7500-7800 anyway, much as I'd love to hear this beast spin over 8500... I'm with Jay on the "sissy girl" thing. I like driving cars, not working on them... only work on them out of necessity. :p

2JZ valves, made to fit, bronze guides, dual springs, titanium retainers, still on stock bucket and shims. I need a billet timing belt tension thingie now. That's the only worry I have left.

I made about four pulls to 8750 on the dyno. Unfortunately, this dyno in town is NOT calibrated.

Read 0 torque and showed the dyno just stopped recording on the pull @ 7300rpm. Stinger cell tracker went all the way to 8750. Torque was 0 from 7300 - 8750rpm. I need to get to a properly setup dyno. Trying to get over to Henson's someday and have a cup of tea with Jay.

4th gear at that RPM w/ R-154 and 4.10 gears netted 158mph. I measured my wheels and did the math. The MPH was the only part of the dyno that was right.

Modify your oil pump or get an upgraded unit if you rev past 8K frequently.

I have the Crower 272 small core cams. I generally only rev mine to about 7100rpm. My car quits making power after that. Once I get back on the dyno and tune it a little beter, I'll be able to rev more. My timing doesn't ramp up like it should, therefore causing it to quit making the beast after seven grand. I have the dual springs and upgraded retainers for my stock 1jz valves. The head is ported and polished also.
I love boosting my car up to 27psi, but it just seems like it's a bit unnecessary when I"m not racing anyone. Nobody around here wants any of my car and it's waaaayy too hot to be beating on it for the sake of doing it.

Yeah no kidding... I think once we get everything sorted on mine, we'll just find the RPM where the power stops building, and set the limit around there. Racer, I just gotta say, you suck. I can only net something like 150 in 4th, and I'm on taller tires and 3.73 gears...

Oh holy hell man, I though you had that JZ in a Mk3... that much power in a Mk2 has gotta be a bit of a handful. Looks like you could use a hood while you're painting it too. :p

It was in the MK3, but it broke the subframe. My friend Taylor welded tank armor plating to the MK2 subframe, so I hope it holds. I hope the Jawsgear / tru-trac built diff holds up.

Hood won't fit until I redo the radiator, and re-clock the turbo. I want to replace the Greddy 3 row with a larger core before I re-clock the turbo.

Once I get ready, I'll build an LSx and put into the MK3 and show the other LSx fan boys how it's done.

Sick. FOr a second there i thought you had some stock size tires and hooking with them in the back. Couldnt see the rear tire but the front looked pretty stock.

That thing is a straight sleeper or will be when you get a hood on.

My car is too loud to be a sleeper. With just 18 inches of open exhaust from the housing, you can hear the turbo before you can see me coming.
