Putting holes on the outside of a very rare hood and potentially damaging his paint = FTL
You got it. Screw it up and the whole hood would need a repaint, because it is a candy which cannot be repaired/touched up. Then then painter would have a tough time matching it, since it was originally painted at the same time as the rest of the body. A little too much or too little red candy changes the shade, because it is transparent.

I just ordered the cable latch. Should be very solid with 3 mounting points. Excessive speeds, here I come!:evil2: I currently can not exceed 110mph because of hood lift / risk!

It will be awesome if you can link the hood latch all together.

I have some spring loaded Snap-on latch. I think I got them from Mcmaster or Grainger catalogs. It's a push and pull action latch.

I couldn't find that part number. Is it suitable for my application, or better than the cable latch idea?
