Not sure where to post this one but i recently purchased a HID kit, by bluechullapas suggestion. I got them today and wanted to make sure they worked. They seem to be the slim design 35w. now i plugged it all up followed instructions cause you can never be to right. I powered them on and the low beam did not light up at all. the hi beam is a standard halogen bulb and those work. Only the high beams work but not low.

Here are some pics hope you guys can help me fix this.

First off... Thanks for butchering my username and calling me out! :aigo: lol jk

Did you plug in the 3 prong connector that goes to oem harness?

Right before my teardown I tried to fire up my HID's but only the high beam worked... I think something came loose on mine but haven't had the chance to look at em yet.

I would have to see yours in person more than likely to help ya out!

Foglight rewire been done? Try flipping it a few times as the old wiring might not be enough to fire the HID's...

Does the HID turn off when the high beam goes on? I'm curious how the bulb works if I can get a closer shot of the bulb...

I tried it a few times I talked to the guy I got them from and told me to swap the spades since it seems the the high beam and halogen use the same ground. Haven't tried it yet will in the morning.

The HID does even fire up. The high beam halogen works though when I flip it to high beams. Im taking pics as we speak.

Ah, alright (after looking at the PM), it makes sense to swap the spades, but you need to be sure the HID will work with reverse polarity.

We have a switched ground system, the center prong is positive and the outside ones are grounds. The way you changed it to SHOULD work if it will work in reverse polarity.

I think he has em right (for the pics he PMed me), though I'm not sure if the high and low beam spades are right or will need to be swapped.

The issue I see is that it looks like the HID turns off when the high beams are used...that isn't good as that's the whole point in using a halogen for the high beams as HID don't like to be turned on and off...
